The Tree Guardian Program offers interested individuals the opportunity to receive training in tree stewardship. Partnering with the Louisiana Cooperative Extension Service and the Louisiana Department of Forestry, the program is taught for five consecutive weeks and covers topics such as tree physiology, maintenance, and proper planting techniques. The graduate agrees to volunteer 24 hours in community tree work.
