Recycling Program
Telephone Book Recycling
Telephone Book Recycling is one of our oldest and most successful programs. This annual drive offers the chance for some friendly competition between area schools as they compete to collect the most recycled telephone books. With great sponsors like AT&T the Real Yellow Pages, Diesel Driving Academy, the City of Shreveport, Allied Waste, Caddo Parish Solid Waste, and Caddo Parish Schools, we are able to provide cash prizes to the schools that collect the most books. This annual program launches every January and continues through mid-March. This year's winners include:
Most books per student: 1st Place Evangel Christian (15.85) 2nd Place Riverside Elementary (15.23) 3rd Place Cathedral School (13.80) 4th Place Central Elementary (8.93) 5th Place E.B. Williams/Stoner Hill (6.82) 6th Place Fairfield Elementary (4.75)
Most books total: 1st Place Caddo Middle Magnet (13,432) 2nd Place University Elementary (8,378) 3rd Place Calvary Baptist (7,107) 4th Place Hillsdale Elementary (2,780) 5th Place Herndon Magnet (2,738) 6th Place Summer Grove (2,225)
