Shreveport Green is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting a healthy, sustainable, and economically vital community through public outreach, community enhancement, and a specific respect for the natural and built environmental.
Telephone Book Recycling is one of our oldest and most successful programs. This annual drive offers the chance for some friendly competition between area schools as they compete to collect the most recycled telephone books. With great sponsors like AT&T the Real Yellow Pages, Diesel Driving Academy, the City of Shreveport, Allied Waste, Caddo Parish Solid Waste, and Caddo Parish Schools, we are able to provide cash prizes to the schools that collect the most books. This annual program launches every January and continues through mid-March. This year's winners include:
