Shreveport Green teaches recycling and solid waste managment to area Elementary and Junior High School students through KAB's "Waste in Place" curriculum. These professionally developed materials were created to help tomorrow's decison-makers understand the solid waste and litter issues. Waste in Place is an elementary school curriculum supplement for teachers and students, focusing on litter prevention and responsible solid waste practices. The curriculum supplement for grades K-6 contains 33 lesson plans on many diverse subjects, including litter prevention, waste reduction, recycling, landfills, and much more.
