Dr. Martin Luther King Day of Service

Begun by the Corporation for National and Community Service, the Martin Luther King, Jr. federal holiday has been declared "A Day ON, Not a Day OFF." Shreveport Green and ShrevCORPS join other Americans of all walks of life to address important community issues. Previous activities include enhancement projects at J.S. Clark Middle School and Fair Park High School, as well as installation of smoke detectors in low-income neighborhoods.
